Sarah Walters Landscape Moon Vase

A hand-thrown stoneware vase from Sarah’s Landscape series, created by building up layers of glazes and reactive slips to create rich, textured surfaces inspired by the colours and patterns found in the landscape. This piece is glazed in earthy greys and warm browns, with darker mottled marks across its rounded body.

Each vase is electric fired to Cone 8, with the interaction between the different layers producing its own unique combination of colour, texture and movement. Every piece is completely unique and unrepeatable.

Sarah makes all her own glazes, and each vase is thrown by hand on the potter’s wheel. They are fully functional and can hold water, making them as practical as they are sculptural.
