Hand-knitted Mohair Vest

Created by Maqhama Knits, a brand rooted in lasting knitwear, conscious fashion, and local craftsmanship, each vest reflects a slower, more considered approach to making. Every piece is hand-knitted in Cape Town using mohair sourced from farms in the Eastern Cape.

The naturally soft fibres provide exceptional warmth without the weight of a full jersey, making it an effortless layering piece. Wear it on its own through the changing seasons or over a shirt and beneath a jacket when the weather cools.

Each vest is approximately a size medium; however, because every piece is individually hand-knitted by a different maker, slight variations in fit, texture, and finish are part of its unique character.
