Come up Bree Street, all the way to the top, then turn left into Watson. We’re the cream and mustard building just behind John Jacobs. The doors are open, so please come and say hello.
Beautiful spaces are rarely accidental.
They come from patience, trusting the process, and obsessing over the tiny details. Our flagship store is full of them: high ceilings, old sash windows, and a courtyard with a young tree we planted ourselves.
Mantra Living was never really a new idea. It came from a way of living: buying less, but better. Spaces built slowly, with pieces collected from many places, each one carrying its own story. Candles lit in the evening. Flowers from the garden.
We’ve been dreaming of a space worthy of that for a long time, and this is finally it. So please, take your time in here…

It didn’t look like this in June…
Back then it was a blank canvas, with six patches of ochre painted on the front wall while we argued about which one was right. Choosing those colours took far longer than expected, but the feeling they create is worth every moment.
We’ve been working with the most incredible painters: Sunny, Innocent and the team from Small World Painters, who paint the world a better place. We planted the tree in the courtyard ourselves. And week by week, all the little details started coming together.
The whole vision, in one place.
Camps Bay has always been small, which meant choosing what fits. Watson Street doesn’t ask us to choose. For the first time everything we’ve collected and everything we’ve been working on sits together under one roof, laid out in rooms rather than stacked on shelves, with a courtyard to sit in while you think about it.

Lifestyle
Furniture, lighting, and the pieces a room gets built around. We’re incredibly excited to have a selection of Allan Lutge’s work here: reclaimed indigenous timber and Cape antiques, made to be lived with for a lifetime.
